Agent Impact Assessment

Purpose

Agent Impact Assessment analyzes the functional and application impacts of a change request across the information system ecosystem before development starts. It helps teams understand dependencies, risks, and readiness before committing to implementation.

Primary users

The primary users are enterprise architects, solution architects, delivery teams, product owners, business analysts, application owners, and IT governance teams.

Where it fits (process/stage/trigger)

It fits during change request qualification, impact analysis, architecture review, backlog refinement, and pre-development validation. It is triggered when a user story, framing note, or evolution request must be assessed against the existing SI landscape.

Key capabilities / workflow

The agent ingests the change request and existing SI cartography, then identifies impacted applications, functional domains, interfaces, and critical dependencies. It analyzes risks based on specifications and past incidents, highlights implementation constraints, and produces a go/no-go recommendation before development begins.

Inputs

Inputs include the change request description, user story, framing note, existing SI cartography, functional specifications, application mappings, and historical incidents linked to past changes.

Outputs / Deliverables

Outputs include an impact report by application and functional domain, critical dependency list, implementation risk analysis, affected-system overview, and go/no-go recommendation.

Value

The agent reduces blind spots before development, improves change governance, limits downstream incidents, accelerates impact assessment, and helps IT teams make better-informed delivery decisions.
