Claude Adoption Cockpit
Organizations are rolling out Claude faster than they can steer it. Usage has moved from chat to agentic work in Claude Code and Cowork, and consumption spend now comes on top of seats. The native console reports usage and cost. It offers no pooled budgets, no delegated approval, and no return case that finance can sign. Seats sit idle, power users hit their cap mid-task, costly habits go unnoticed, and the renewal case rests on anecdotes and seat counts.
Scaling Claude stalls when no one can show what it costs, who uses it well, and what it returns. The Cockpit is what makes that case possible.
Sia deploys the Cockpit on top of the client’s Claude Enterprise tenant, from the initial rollout through renewal, and integrates it into the quarterly steering cycle. It runs in the client’s own hosting account using the client’s API keys and never reads conversation content. Platform owners and IT administrators manage seats, limits, and access. Finance tracks spend and validates the return. Business-unit leaders run their unit’s budget and approve limit requests for their own people. Executive sponsors track adoption against the activation goal. Every seat holder gets a personal page with their own usage and coaching.
Twelve modules share one calculation layer and one set of roles:
- See. Adoption health traces the funnel from seat to weekly habit, by division, level, and location, with a full seat table and a printable status brief.
- Control. Spend limits can be edited in place, even from a phone, and budgets are pooled by business unit. An employee requests headroom, the Cockpit projects the impact on the unit’s budget, and a leader approves or declines the request. The new limit is written back through Anthropic’s API and logged. Teams alerts flag spend spikes and limit thresholds.
- Improve. Per-person assessments spot costly habits, such as using the top model for routine work or re-sending context instead of caching it, and turn them into specific recommendations. Claude drafts the coaching note, and an administrator reviews it before anything is sent. Analytics on skills, connectors, and plugins show which shared workflows teams actually adopt.
- Prove. A quarterly value page tracks the return per workflow, including an owner, baseline, volume, and value range for each. “Ask your data” answers natural-language questions using charts generated from the dashboard’s read-only calculations.
- Integrate. The Cockpit connects to the Anthropic Analytics API, usage and cost reports, the HR directory (Workday or CSV), and the identity provider for single sign-on. An optional extension covers Claude Code on Bedrock and third-party Desktop deployments.
- Reconcile. Billing exports reconcile to the cent against source records, and every limit change is traceable.
The Cockpit replaces one-off console settings and spreadsheet reporting with a single, governed, and auditable platform. It typically captures 15 to 20% savings on Claude consumption, mainly through model routing, caching, and limit policy, without restricting anyone’s access. The result is fewer blocked power users, no surprise spend, idle seats reallocated before renewal, and a return case built on measured volumes rather than seat counts. Decisions on limits, coaching, and what to scale, fix, or stop stay with people.
