#SuccessStories - From GenAI Framework to Enterprise Agentic Platform: How Sia Scaled AI at RBC Capital Markets

1. Context

Many financial institutions have launched several generative AI pilots and now need a common framework to govern, integrate and scale them. The next step is to put AI where employees already work and to move from single assistants to agentic platforms that connect knowledge, services and controlled actions.

RBC Capital Markets had launched several GenAI pilots and needed a common framework to govern, integrate and scale them.

2. Client Challenge

RBC Capital Markets needed to:

  • Govern, integrate and scale its GenAI pilots through a common framework.
  • Bring AI into the collaboration tools employees already use.
  • Move beyond isolated assistants toward an enterprise capability.

3. What Sia Did ?

Sia embedded a forward-deployed engineering team from its Data & AI practice within RBC Capital Markets:

  • Enterprise GenAI framework: building and strengthening the bank's enterprise GenAI framework.
  • AI in the flow of work: integrating Cohere North capabilities into WebEx, placing AI directly in the collaboration channel employees already use.
  • Agentic platform: expanding the scope from a document assistant to an agentic platform connecting internal knowledge, business services and controlled actions.
  • Use-case lifecycle: supporting ideation, prioritization, implementation, evaluation and rollout.

4. Results & Outlook

RBC Capital Markets gained the foundations of an Agentic AI Center of Excellence rather than an isolated chatbot. The growth path ran from one WebEx assistant to a reusable GenAI framework, then to additional enterprise use cases and broader adoption.

By embedding engineers alongside business teams, Sia helps banks turn GenAI pilots into an enterprise platform.
