Audit Strategy Assistant

Purpose

Turn existing insurance audit methodology into a structured, scalable audit engine that standardizes audit grids, evidence assessment, scoring, and reporting while reducing dependency on senior auditors.

Primary users

Internal Audit and Internal Control teams within insurance companies and insurtechs, including auditors preparing audits and reviewers validating consistency and traceability.

Where it fits (process/stage/trigger)

Used during audit planning to generate an audit grid aligned to a defined scope (e.g., IDD governance), then during fieldwork/assessment once evidence is provided and the user explicitly triggers scoring.

Key capabilities / workflow

The agent runs in two modes: Mode 1 generates a complete audit grid aligned to the user’s scope using retrieval over regulatory and methodological references; Mode 2 structures design and operating effectiveness scoring (0–4) and produces prudent, evidence-based grades only when explicitly requested, then compiles findings and recommendations into an audit report format.

Inputs

Chat-defined audit scope, applicable regulatory corpus (EU/FR such as IDD, ACPR/EIOPA guidance, AML/CFT governance and delegation requirements), internal audit methodology assets (grid templates, design/operating scoring framework 0–4, evidence sufficiency standards, sampling guide, report structure), and uploaded evidence provided by the audited entity.

Outputs / Deliverables

A tailored audit grid (Mode 1), a structured scoring grid for design and operating effectiveness (0–4), and an audit report draft including ratings, findings/observations, evidence traceability expectations, and actionable recommendations (Mode 2).

Value

Reduces audit preparation time (typically days) through standardization and industrialization, improves consistency and quality of scoring and recommendations by anchoring to reference materials, and increases scalability by making assessments less dependent on senior profiles while strengthening evidence-based traceability.
